How to become a private investigator ?

To practice as private investigator in France, it is necessary to have a specific professional experience or a complete training evidenced by a diploma.
 
Currently, only four schools provides a specific training : University of Paris II-Assas, Université of Nîmes, IFAR school (Institut de Formation des Agents de Recherches) and ESARP school (Ecole Supérieure des Agents de Recherches Privées).
 
You will need to get a permission from the National Security Council of Private Activities (CNAPS - Ministry of interior) and fulfil several conditions.
